Last Wednesday was my 25th birthday. Dean worked late all week so he could get off at 3:30 on Wednesday. (He likes to make me wait to open my presents). On Tuesday I got all my chores done so I didn't have to do anything on my birthday. Mom and Dad woke me up early and Dad sang his famous Happy Birthday Cha Cha Cha. I waited patiently and when Dean got home he made me hide in my room while set everything up. He blew up balloons and put a happy birthday sign on the wall.
Then I got to open my presents. Dean got me a Rockies jersey with my name and my high school number on the back. We are hoping to catch a Rockies game when we go to Wyoming this summer. He also got me the Harry Potter books in a boxed set. (Last year I got Dean to read Harry Potter and he LOVED it. He now wants to read the whole series again before the last movie comes out.)
After that we made my birthday dinner. I decided this year instead of my favorite meal I wanted my favorite appetizers. We had chips and queso dip, homemade crab rangoon, bbq wings and bread sticks, pizza rolls and Sprite with pink lemonade ice cubes.
We watched the first Harry Potter movie during dinner as I had just finished the first book that day. After dinner Mom and Dad Skyped me and I opened my presents from them. They got me a book on how to take better pictures and another book on how to edit them.
Then we had birthday cake... Dean got trick candles and put a plane on each cake (they were little cakes.) - (Since we moved here I realized I love planes. Since Christmas for every holiday Dean gets me a toy plane... but more on that later.)
Dean's parents gave me some money for my birthday and I decided I wanted to build a shelf for my planes. I have 8 now and they don't fit on top of the TV anymore. I have been wanting to build a shelf for them for a while and I decided it would look really cool if the shelf looked like a runway. So on Saturday I went and bought the stuff and put it all together. It looks really cool!
