Halloween

We spent Halloween back home with our family this year. Since Dean doesn't work on Fridays we packed up the car and headed home on Thursday night. But the Tuesday before we headed home we went to our friend's house and helped them carve their 70 pound pumpkin. And I am not exaggerating... we weighed it. Here is a picture of the pumpkin:

That is a six-legged spider carved into it if you couldn't tell. Anyway we went home this last weekend to spend Halloween with our families and for a going away party for my parents before they moved to Portland. We arrived at Dean's parent's house late Thursday night and spent all day Friday with his family. Dean got a chance to chase some cows that had gotten out and he was so excited. He told me to get the camera so I could take pictures but by the time I got out there with it he had chased them all back in. That's how excited he was. We also got the chance to take a horseback ride. Dean spent a lot of time with his horse, brushing its hair, cutting its hair... I got some of the hair and made a horse hair keychain that I was going to give him for Christmas but I just couldn't keep it to myself. Here are some pictures from our horseback ride:

We spent the night at Dean's parent's house again. Then Saturday morning we went to Mom and Dad's house for the rest of the weekend. There we had our Halloween party. Dean was a cowboy.

I was a whoopie cushion.

Jag was a racing horse complete with jockey.

And this is a family picture:

It was a fun Halloween. Much better than last year.
