Christmas

We had a good Christmas this year. On Christmas Eve Dean's family has a big tradition. Each member of the family gets their favorite appetizer and then they have a big 5 course meal. Usually by the second course everyone is so full that they can't finish dinner. So Dean and I decided to adopt the first half of the tradition and we just had a bunch of appetizers. Dean's mom also make everyone pajama's for Christmas which they open on Christmas Eve, sleep in and then open presents Christmas morning in the new pajamas. This year his mom made us matching Broncos pajama pants. Dean was so excited. Here are pictures of our pajama pants and our Christmas Eve Dinner:

For her Christmas Eve present Jag got a new tag since her old one is so worn that you can't read it. She was excited too:

Christmas morning we got up a little before 5. Of course I was already awake and was content to wait another hour before I woke Dean up. But he got up to go to the bathroom and he allowed us to get up and open presents then. Jag followed us out to the living room to see what we were doing. Once she realized what we were doing she went back to bed, even though we had quite a few presents for her. We tried to get her to stay and open presents with us but she wouldn't have it and went back to bed until we got up the second time. We were so excited opening presents that we didn't slow down to take pictures. We played with our presents for a little bit and around 6 we went back to bed. By the time we woke up again Dean wasn't feeling so well. He ended up being sick all Saturday and most of the day Sunday. Other than that it was a fun Christmas and our first one by ourselves.
