Jag

It's time for an update on Jag. Today is Jag's first birthday! We don't know the exact date she was born so we picked a day based on what the lady at the pound where we adopted her told us. Dean picked out some treats for her and we made her a small cake out of hot dogs.

Jag finally found a friend. Since we moved she has been lonely. But there is a couple in our ward that we have become really good friends with. Around Thanksgiving they got a puppy. His name is Gus and he is a Wired Haired Pointing Griffin. He's in that awkward puppy stage where his paws are too big and he tends to fall a lot. He also pees whenever Jag comes over. The vet calls it submission pee since Jag is the alpha dog. But Jag loves him so much. When Jag first met him he was about her size and she wasn't too interested in him. But he has almost doubled in size since then and the bigger he gets the more she loves him. She always was more fond of the bigger dogs. We usually go over to our friends' house once a week to play games and now we take Jag with us so she can play with Gus.

I also started taking Jag on my daily walk to the post office. She loves her walks. In fact around 11 every day she does her 'go for a walk' dance. And when I bend down to put her leash on she pops up on her back legs so I can reach it better.

I know... this officially makes me a loser. But I had some time so why not?
