Last weekend Mom and Dad drove down to Oklahoma to see us. They got here on Wednesday night and on Thursday morning I took them hiking. We made it all the way to the top but I think it took a couple of years off of Mom's life. It isn't quite like the hiking they are used to, it is more rocky and more climbing. They brought their new hiking sticks with them but I think they just ended up getting in the way.
After hiking we got home and surprisingly Mom got into the second round of the NCAA tournament and we spent most of the day watching the games and updating our brackets.
When Dean got home we took Mom and Dad out for dinner at the gas station down the street. I know what you are thinking... they came all this way and all we could do was take them to a gas station. But this place is one of the best places to eat around here and it is known for its bbq and they have some of the best burgers I have ever had. When we got home we watched more basketball, played some games and later had some snacks. The next day we took Jag for a walk and then went out to lunch before Mom and Dad headed back to Kansas City. It was a quick trip but we had a lot of fun. Jag loves when her Grandma and Poppy visit.
